Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of World Harvest Ministries is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. World Harvest Ministries’ members are involved in a variety of ministries from Evangelism to Prophetic Ministry.
Team ministry may be defined as groups of people working together to provide a specific type of ministry to an individual or group of people in order for the whole man to be healed. God did not send no one man do all of the work that is needed to further his kingdom. One of the core values that World Harvest Ministries rest upon is team ministry. We minister to the whole man. We have raised up ministry teams for that very reason. Below are the types of ministires that WHM offers algo with a brief description.
Outreach & Prison Ministry
Under the commandment of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we go out to bring the Word of God to the unchurched. We have ministry teams who take the Word of God to those that are incarcerated (DJJ, WCI, and Alvin S. Glenn), homeless, and others who are in need. Even though all Christians are called to preach God’s Word, these individuals have been specifically called, trained, and anointed for this purpose. They do not go out under their own direction, but by the direction of Holy Spirit and the covering of our Apostles (Romans 10:14-15).
Apostolic Youth Arising Ministry
Our youth are not afraid to stand up for God. They are examples in their schools and among their peers of what it means to be an apostolic youth in the 21st Century. The Apostolic Youth Arising Ministry teaches youth about the powerful end-time work that Jesus said His church would have to fulfill and that they have an integral part in its fulfillment. The youth of World Harvest Ministries are on fire for the Lord.
We began our first missionary trip to Jamaica as a start to fulfilling the word that God gave to our Apostles that our church will go to the nations preaching the word of God to the unchurched (Psalms 2:8)
Those Praying Men & Women
Those Praying Men & Women are led by Apostle Alva Green. In 1981, God ordained Apostle Alva to become an intercessor, to stand between God and man. Each Tuesday evening at 7:00 P.M. an anointed group of men and women from all over the city of Columbia come together to learn how to pray and intercede for each other, the leaders of the city, leaders of the state, and the nations (Luke 18:1). A true intercessor is one who has passed from darkness into light, and because of the love of God shed abroad in his or her heart consents to go back into darkness in the spirit to bring others out. God had mobilized this group of prayer warriors to mount up on vans and travel throughout the city of Columbia, praying as Holy Spirit directs.
Praying men and woman who know how to pray and for those who desire to learn how to pray, you are encouraged to come and engage in this war on our adversary (Leviticus 26:8).
Media & Technology Ministry
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of World Harvest Ministries. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in video and audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.
Evangelism teams at WHM, are trained to minister to the needs of the churched and the unchurched bringing emotional, physical, and spiritual healing to the prostitutes, homosexuals, runaways, the homeless, and the incarcerated by ministering to them as Holy Spirit leads. We plant cell groups in homes teaching the same doctrine that is taught at World Harvest Ministries. The doctrine of Jesus Christ which is the doctrine of the Apostles according to Acts 2:41-42.
Here at WHM ministry teams are being trained and equipped to destroy the work of the enemy. Anointed men and women of God are available to minister to the needs of those who are oppressed and possessed by the enemy (satan/the devil) (Zechariah 4:6).
Many churches shy away from the subject of deliverance or casting out demons. Some claim that by talking about the devil we give him glory; yet others are simply afraid of the subject.
Casting out demons should not be new to the church (the Body of Christ) for it is a commandment given by Jesus himself (Matthew 10:8). Here at WHM we have a knowledge of deliverance and spiritual warfare with Holy Spirit being our senior partner (II Corinthians 2:11 and Zechariah 4:6). Here at World Harvest Ministries we cast out devils (Mark 16:17).
International Prayer Ministry
Connecting intercessors throughout the nation and internationally in prayer is essential for breaking through in world events that affect the Kingdom of God. Those who have a heart for intercession may connect with other intercessors through this ministry for prayer points and initiatives can be communicated.
